Basketball

The regular basketball season ended last night for Brendan and the rest of the Thunder with their second loss of the season(38-46). It was one of the best games ever. His team led most of the game but unfortunately the only thing that matters is the final score. These little guys put up a good fight sometimes leading by as much as five. Of course it can wear on you when your opponents are 6 to 8 inches taller than anyone on your team and it can be hard watch knowing that our guys are taking 2 or 3 steps to their opponents 1. The tournament to determine the final placement will be the weekend of March 22. It will be a double elimination so that mean they have a chance to play the only team that beat them twice maybe three times.

Track

Cassie is now running track. Her first meet was yesterday. She is doing pole vault, running the 800 meter 4x200 and 4x400. Yes, I did say she is doing pole vault it's not a typo. Unfortunately she had to go first at her first meet and she scratched all three time. Her team in the 4x200 got fourth and her team in the 4x400 which was the last event of the night so that meant she ran about 9:00pm came in last place. I almost forgot to give the results of the 800 she got fourth in that race.

Basketball

Brendan is once again playing basketball and is on a really good team. So far their record is 4-1. Brendan is scoring at least once per game, but like football he is better on defense. He is also on a team with younger players they are either in fourth or fifth instead of fifth and sixth. He is having a great time and learning a lot. After his first practice he took a nap because he said and I quote "Dang Mom it was like a real practice."
